Out of 206,000 students, she was the only one chosen to attend the 2024 NBA Math Hoops Global Championship and represent our LA Lakers in New York!

Metrolink FREE on April 22 for Earth Day

Metrolink will be free on Monday, April 22 for all riders in celebration of Earth Day. To ride free on Earth Day, simply hop on the train. No ticket required.

Metrolink Extends Student Adventure Pass Pilot Program Through June 2024

Metrolink, Southern California’s regional passenger rail service, has extended its Student Adventure Pass pilot program through the end of the 2023-24 school year. The Student Adventure Pass allows anyone with a valid student ID to ride Metrolink trains for free and launched in October initially with a planned six-month trial period.

Coffee with a Cop - April 17th, 9am - 11am

Join us at the Sylmar Neighborhood Council Office for "Coffee with a Cop" an event that brings community members and police officers together over coffee for community discussions.

LAPD Traffic, Sylmar's LAPD Lead Officers, and Officers from the California Highway Patrol will all be there.

MAIL THEFT - Reporting and Prevention Tools

With Mail Theft on the rise, here are some reporting and prevention tools.

Losses are charted by the Postal Inspection Service to identify problem areas and assist Inspectors in tracking down thieves. Report suspected mail losses to Postal Inspectors by calling 877-876-2455 or at www.uspis.gov.
